Removing Sick Building Syndrome Formaldehyde and Preventing Winter Colds - How to Use Phytoncide Cypress Water and Buying Tips (Humidifier Bacteria Removal)

by developer's warehouse 2023. 12. 9.

When you buy a new car or move into a new house, many people experience new car/new house syndrome due to formaldehyde. Add to that the fact that winter is coming, and it's hard to drive around with the windows open. To make matters worse, respiratory illnesses are also common in winter. So, before it gets really cold, let's take a look at the effects, benefits, and uses of cypress water to improve your family's health.

Sick house syndrome and winter respiratory illnesses (colds)

Sick Building Syndrome / Sick Car Syndrome

I think anyone who has ever bought a car or moved into a new house is bound to experience new car syndrome or new house syndrome. I didn't realize it until I bought a new car, but it's worse than I thought. When I moved, I also experienced new house syndrome, which was so bad that I couldn't get the tears out of my eyes for a while.

After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed that the new car smell was stronger than I expected. I tried using air freshener to fix it, but the new car smell mixed with the air freshener to create an even weirder smell, so I put the air freshener away.

Sick Car Syndrome

We often travel with our kids in the car, and I was worried that they would be adversely affected by the new car syndrome.

When the odor is strong, I usually open the windows to ventilate, but as the weather gets colder, it's getting harder and harder to open the windows, so I thought I'd find another solution.

I bought cypress water for the first time because it was said that cypress water is good for new car syndrome, but when I tried it, it had a strange smell, and when I looked at the ingredients, there were other artificial additives besides cypress water, so I couldn't use it because of the artificial flavor.

Winter colds

In the winter, the weather gets colder and drier, and you need to watch out for respiratory illnesses.

Now that the weather is getting cooler and it's winter, my throat is starting to hurt when I wake up from a dry night's sleep. I also hear my children coughing one by one, and it's getting to me.

I don't do a lot of boiling or heating at the moment, but when I do, it's even drier, so a humidifier is a must.

I used to have a natural phytoncide generator in my kids' room because I'm really into wellness and health, and I'm really into phytoncides and natural ingredients, but the company that manufactured the phytoncide generator went out of business, and I can no longer buy the phytoncide refills for that product.

It's a shame, because the natural phytoncide scent was so refreshing and nice to have in the house.

Cypress Water for Sick Car/Sick House Syndrome and Winter Cold Prevention

To remove new car odors, we recommend using cypress water with formaldehyde removal.

It can also be mixed into a humidifier to boost immunity, which is great for preventing colds in children and adults during the winter months.

Cypress water works to remove formaldehyde and protect your health by doing the following.

  1. Cypress water is extracted from the cypress tree and is rich in phytoncides, a natural antibacterial substance. Phytoncides chemically react with formaldehyde in the air, breaking it down and adsorbing it. In doing so, it effectively removes formaldehyde.
  2. When cypress water is sprayed into a humidifier, the water vapor and formaldehyde in the air combine to form a harmless substance called methanoic acid. The methanoic acid is then easily evaporated as water vapor or absorbed.
  3. When cypress water is sprayed into a humidifier, it increases the amount of negative ions in the air. Anions act to neutralize or flocculate harmful substances in the air, removing them. Anions also oxidize organic pollutants like formaldehyde, breaking them down into carbon dioxide and water.
  4. Cypress water has been shown to kill E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. Humidifiers are prone to harboring these bacteria, and by removing them, you'll help keep your humidifier healthy.

Considerations for purchasing undiluted cypress water

1. Make sure it's 100% pure

When purchasing cypress water, make sure that you are purchasing pure 100% cypress water with no added ingredients. Additionally, it is recommended that you do your homework before purchasing consumable products as they cannot be returned or exchanged once used.

2. Verify that the product is certified

It is important to check if the product has been certified by "KCL Korea Construction Living Environment Testing Center" for E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. This ensures that the product is actually antibacterial.

It's also important to look for products that have been tested and certified for antimicrobial activity through bacterial culture tests, as products that have not been tested may not actually be antimicrobial at all, but may actually harbor harmful bacteria.

3. Buy in bulk

You'll use more cypress water than you think. I use it in my humidifier, but you can use as little as 1:1 or as much as 20:1. Of course, the more you use, the more phytoncides you'll get.

In the case of 100% pure phytoncides, it would be possible to add the undiluted solution directly to a humidifier, but realistically, the cost prevents us from doing so.

I've found that cypress water is a great way to keep myself and my family healthy. If you're prone to sore throats and respiratory illnesses like colds in the winter, I highly recommend trying it. In my family, when one person gets a cold, we all get it, and I think this will help us stay healthy this winter.

How to use undiluted cypress water

If you're going to use cypress water in a humidifier, you'll want to stock up on it because you'll be using it so often. In fact, I've separated humidifier use from Sick Building Syndrome use, but if you have Sick Building Syndrome, you should consider humidifier use a necessity.

If you suffer from Sick Building Syndrome, we recommend mixing it with a humidifier in a strong concentration (3 parts water to 1 part cypress) as it will continue to remove formaldehyde from the air.

How to use a humidifier

I usually mix it into my humidifier at a ratio of 5:1, which is a great way to get a nice phytoncide scent in the room in the morning.

However, it's a lot to take in, so I use it sparingly. I use about 20:1, which means about 50ml in 1L of water. Even with this amount, you can expect antibacterial effects and feel refreshed when you wake up in the morning. Actually, I like to use 5:1... ^^

For me, I mix it into my humidifier before bed. Humidifiers are great for preventing colds and protecting your throat in the winter, but the downside of humidifiers is that germs thrive in them.

However, if you add cypress water, which has been proven to kill germs, you can use the humidifier with confidence because it inhibits and kills germs. Not only that, but the humidification with cypress water also purifies the air, and finally, it helps prevent respiratory diseases by absorbing phytoncides.

Therefore, it's a great idea to add cypress water to your humidifier, which will also help maintain your humidifier and help you stay healthy in the winter.

How to get rid of Sick Building Syndrome and Sick Car Syndrome

Sick Building Syndrome

We recommend using a product like a fogger to help eliminate sick house syndrome.

However, if you don't have a nebulizer, you can use a regular spray. However, you may find that your hands get sore from spraying. Nowadays, there are a lot of inexpensive foggers that you can use at home, so it's a good idea to buy one to get rid of sick house syndrome.

The cypress water spray can be used on anything that has toxic substances, mainly wallpaper and furniture.

You can also spray it once on your curtains or bedding before you go to sleep to freshen up.

As mentioned earlier, you can also use a humidifier to get rid of formaldehyde faster and free yourself from sick house syndrome.

Sickle Cell Syndrome

The way I use it in my car is every time I get in the car, I take a sprayer or fogger and I spray a lot of it all over the car, especially on the fabric (cloth) ceiling of the car and the leather seats. If it's made of plastic, if I spray a lot of it, it runs off, so I just spray a little bit and wipe it down, or if it's bothering me, I just spray a little bit.

Spray it on before you get in the car, and when you get in, the phytoncide smell will act as a deodorant and the formaldehyde removal will make your head hurt less.

Conclusion

Today we learned about cypress, which can eliminate sick house syndrome and sick car syndrome and prevent winter respiratory illnesses.
